The cause of death of a couple who were found dead in a RV at a festival in England has reportedly been revealed.

Kayleigh, 38, and Christopher Coll, 45, were found dead inside a RV on Pound Lane in Hampshire at around 12 p.m. local time on Oct. 12, 2025, the BBC reported. The couple had returned to the van after attending the New Forest Cider Festival nearby, according to the U.K. newspaper The Metro.

The couple, who shared four children, died from carbon monoxide poisoning, Winchester’s Coroner’s Court ruled, per the Metro. A gas heater was reportedly found in the caravan at the time, according to the outlet.

“This case was opened yesterday [Monday, Jan. 5] by the coroner and further investigations are now required before a full [investigation] takes place,” said Mood.

On Oct. 12, paramedics alerted police to the “unexpected death” of two people in the vehicle. The deaths were treated as “unexplained but not suspicious,” at the time, the BBC reported, citing the Hampshire Constabulary.

A full investigation will resume in court on July 22, per the Metro.

The deaths of Kaleigh and Christoper have left a devastating impact on their family, a GoFundMe shared.

“The impact of their deaths has hit everyone around them extremely hard, but especially their four children, Shyla, Alex, Kaizer, and Emily, who they leave behind,” GoFundMe organizer Laura Fox wrote.

“Unfortunately, due to the loss of them both, the funeral costs on both families are huge, alongside trying to figure out arrangements for the children and sorting out their home,” the page read.

The page so far has raised over $30,000 in donations, with a goal of $35,000 to cover funeral costs and to support Kaleigh and Christopher’s four children.

“Chris and Kayleigh were much-loved by everyone who knew them,” the family said in a statement, per the BBC. “Our priority now is to protect and support their children and allow our families the privacy and time we need to grieve.”
