Taylor Swift has had ‘no contact’ with former bestie Blake Lively since Justin Baldoni lawsuit drama

Blake Lively and Taylor Swift still seem to have lingering tension between them.

Although the Instagram gossip account DeuxMoi reported that the two former close friends had a “low key” reunion recently, insiders told Page Six a very different story.

Taylor Swift and Blake Lively “They’ve had no contact,” a source revealed, explaining that the pair haven’t spoken since last winter, when legal drama involving Justin Baldoni began to unfold.

Another insider confirmed that they have not spoken or seen each other since, though did not specify exact dates.

Fallout over legal battle

The friendship between Swift and Lively started unraveling after the actress filed a lawsuit in December 2024 against Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment, breach of contract, retaliation, and other claims related to their work on the film adaptation of It Ends With Us.

Baldoni countersued in January 2025 for $400 million, alleging extortion and defamation.

In his countersuit, Baldoni claimed that Lively “weaponized” her friendship with Swift. He cited text messages in which Lively referred to Swift and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, as her “dragons” — a clear warning, according to the lawsuit.

Blake Lively, Taylor Swift “The message could not have been clearer,” the court filing stated. “Baldoni was not just dealing with Lively. He was also facing Lively’s ‘dragons,’ two of the most influential and wealthy celebrities in the world, who were not afraid to make things very difficult for him.”

Baldoni also alleged that when he visited Lively and Reynolds’ New York penthouse, Swift — a “famously close” friend — was there and expressed support for Lively’s script rewrites for a key scene in the film.

Taylor felt “used”

By February, sources close to Swift said she was deeply hurt by the situation.

Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively “Taylor really wishes Blake hadn’t dragged her into this whole situation,” an insider told Page Six. “They’ve been friends for years and Taylor values genuine friendships. But she can’t help feeling used.”

Another source added in August that Swift will “forever be furious” over how Lively allegedly used her for leverage against Baldoni.

Blake Lively, Taylor Swift “She really hates that Blake would even think like that, let alone write those things in that text,” the source said.
In September, legal documents revealed that Swift had “agreed” to be deposed in the case, but her attorneys quickly pushed back. In a letter to Judge Lewis J. Liman, Swift’s lawyers stated:
Blake Lively, Taylor Swift “My client did not agree to a deposition. But if she is forced into a deposition, we advised (after first hearing about it just three days ago) that her schedule would accommodate the time required during the week of October 20.”

Where things stand now

Baldoni’s $400 million countersuit was dismissed by a judge in June 2025. However, Lively’s original lawsuit remains active.

Swift, meanwhile, has moved on to focus on her career and personal life. She recently released her new album The Life of A Showgirl on October 3 and has been frequently seen supporting her fiancé, Travis Kelce, at Kansas City Chiefs games. Over the weekend, she was spotted at Arrowhead Stadium spending time with basketball star Caitlin Clark as Kelce’s team faced the Detroit Lions.Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce

Despite the gossip reports of reconciliation, multiple insiders confirm that Swift and Lively have not reunited or repaired their friendship — at least not yet.
