Coronation Street‘s Debbie Webster receives a huge surprise next week, when Christina Boyd, Glenda Shuttleworth and Sally Metcalfe reveal that they’re treating her to a holiday to Spain. How will Debbie respond to the ladies’ grand plan?
At the Chariot Square Hotel, Debbie and her husband Ronnie Bailey sit down with the three women, who are eager to spill all the details about the holiday over a glass of wine…
“Christina, Glenda and Sally are such great friends to Debbie,” explains our Corrie mole. “Even though she’s keeping up appearances most of the time, Debbie is going through a tough ordeal, and a dose of sunshine could do her some good.
“That said, Debbie feels down after the girls chat about the trip, so it’s hard to know whether she will agree to go along. Hopefully she will find a way to board that plane when the time comes.”
Afterwards, Ronnie invites Debbie’s Angels over to the Rovers so he can bring them in on an idea that he’s been mulling over. What does Ronnie have in mind?
“Ronnie wants to keep Debbie’s holiday dream alive,” continues our source. “That should be no surprise given how much he adores her, but he must have something super special up his sleeve to call Debbie’s pals for a meeting at the pub.
“Let’s just hope that Debbie doesn’t walk in for a glass of vino and rumble them!”

Will Debbie make it all the way to Spain? Or will her ailing health throw a spanner in the works?
Speaking to us earlier this year, Sue Devaney – who plays Debbie – explained: “I think there is a long way to go for Debbie. There’s a lot more fun to be had. You do see her deteriorating and that’s really upsetting, but you still see the Debbie that I love to play – the fun Debbie!
“It’s Debbie in all her glory. You see her with her friends and that’s lovely. She’s doing all the things that she’s always wanted to do in life.”
