Taylor Swift Donates $100,000 to Young Girl Battling Cancer
Taylor Swift has once again proven the power of kindness. The pop superstar quietly donated $100,000 to a young girl named Lilah, who is courageously battling brain cancer.
The generous contribution was made on Friday after a post from Lilah’s support page on Instagram shared how the little girl wished the singer was “her best friend.”
Inspired by Swift’s signature friendship bracelets from the Taylor Swift Eras Tour, another young cancer patient began selling similar beaded bracelets to help raise funds for Lilah and her family as they face mounting medical bills.
According to Lilah’s GoFundMe page, she was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer at just 18 months old and has spent most of her young life in and out of hospitals. Swift’s donation is currently listed as the largest on the campaign.https://pagesix.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2025/10/www-gofundme-com-f-stand-113667637.jpg?resize=480,600&quality=75&strip=all
Along with the donation, the “Love Story” hitmaker left a personal message under the “Words of support” section:
“
Sending the biggest hug to my friend, Lilah! Love, Taylor.”
Once fans discovered Swift’s contribution, many were inspired to donate as well, choosing $13 — the singer’s favorite number — as a symbolic amount. Soon after, Lilah’s donation page was flooded with $13 gifts from fans around the world who wanted to follow Swift’s example.
This is far from the first time Swift has stepped up to help those in need. Her friend Ruby Rose previously revealed that the singer often scrolls GoFundMe “like a social media app,” quietly making donations. This came after critics questioned her spending as the world’s richest female musician.
In 2023, Swift donated $250,000 to Operation Breakthrough, a Kansas City education center, ahead of the holidays. She also made a surprise visit to a Florida children’s hospital in June, taking photos and chatting with young patients.
One parent, Prince Durocher, shared photos of Swift laughing and posing with his daughter during her hospital stay. “She took the time out of her busy schedule to make a terrifying experience a memorable one,” he wrote.
Perhaps most notably, in October 2024, Swift donated $5 million to support relief efforts following Hurricane Milton and Hurricane Helene. She made that contribution quietly, without posting about it on social media — just as she did for Lilah.
Swift’s simple, private act of generosity has once again sparked a wave of kindness — proving that even one gesture can inspire thousands.
Sending the biggest hug to my friend, Lilah! Love, Taylor.”
