Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco Enjoy Romantic Road Trip Honeymoon Following Their September Wedding
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are officially enjoying married life — on the open road.
The newlyweds reportedly marked their wedding last month with a “perfect” honeymoon: a scenic road trip along the California coast and into Texas.
“They loved their little honeymoon,” an insider told People on Friday. “They celebrated for days during their wedding and were on such a high. They really enjoyed slowing down, going on a road trip to explore and relax. They drove up the Cali coast and also visited Texas. It was perfect.”
A representative for the couple did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The Love You Like a Love Song singer, 33, exchanged vows with the music producer, 37, on September 27 in front of roughly 170 family members and friends at the picturesque Sea Crest Nursery in Santa Barbara, California.
Gomez wore a custom hand-draped halter-neck satin gown with embroidery by Ralph Lauren for the ceremony, while Blanco donned a classic black tuxedo and bowtie, also by the designer.
The guest list was star-studded, featuring Gomez’s Only Murders in the Building co-stars Martin Short, Steve Martin and Paul Rudd, along with her close friend Taylor Swift. Other attendees included Paris Hilton, Ed Sheeran, Ashley Park and her Wizards of Waverly Place co-star Jennifer Stone.
Following the ceremony, Gomez changed into a vintage-inspired off-the-shoulder midi dress — also by Ralph Lauren — for the reception, where she danced barefoot with Blanco. Photos shared on her Instagram showed the couple toasting with their simple wedding cake topped with a “Just Married” bride and groom figurine.
Gomez returned to work shortly after tying the knot, appearing at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women conference in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday. Speaking to the audience, she opened up about the emotional weight she felt on her big day.
“This is how I work personally, but [when] something great happens in my life, I expect something bad to happen,” she said. “So instead of being present and saying, ‘OK, wow, we’ve done a great thing,’ which I do, I’m always thinking, ‘OK, but this could all go away tomorrow, so how can I make sure that doesn’t happen?’”
Despite the nerves, the couple’s post-wedding getaway was described as joyful, relaxed, and intimate — a fitting start to their married life.
