Rob Reiner’s son Nick has been locked away in solitary confinement, and remains on suicide watch following his parents’ murders.
He is also required to wear a blue suicide-prevention smock at all times while inside Twin Towers Correctional Facility in downtown Los Angeles, a police source shared with People on Saturday.
Nick is being held in America’s largest mental health jail, which is notorious for its rat-infested and urine-soaked “inhumane” conditions, The Post reported earlier this week — days after he was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of his dad, Rob, and mom, Michele Singer Reiner, with a special allegation of using a knife.
Sources previously told The Post that Rob and Michele’s daughter, Romy, found the couple’s bodies with their throats slit and multiple stab wounds. Rob was 78. Michele was 70.
Just hours before their deaths, Rob and Michele attended Conan O’Brien’s holiday party on Saturday night.
While there, a lifelong family friend told The Post that Rob and Michele got into a big fight with Nick, 32.
“They had had an argument at Conan’s holiday party, and Rob had been telling people that they’re scared for Nick and scared that his mental state was deteriorating,” the insider shared.
Nick’s erratic behavior was allegedly witnessed by several other partygoers, according to multiple outlets.
