Coronation Street’s Debbie Webster leaves her family worrying next week as her dementia symptoms continue to worsen behind bars. A preview clip for Thursday’s episode (2 April) sees Debbie getting a visit from Kevin and Jack and, while the pair are optimistic about her appeal, her behaviour unnerves them.
Spoilers for next week have already shown that Debbie’s worsening condition will lead to some big problems for her in prison, as former neighbour Lou Michaelis steps in to help her.Debbie becomes disorientated at the start of the week and later she angrily accuses one of the prison officers of stealing her journal.
Knowing that a fight with a guard could harm her appeal, Lou steps in and picks a fight with one of the other prisoners, to distract from Debbie’s outburst.
A new clip from Thursday’s episode shows Debbie later in the week being visited by Kevin and Jack.
Debbie asks them about Carl but Kevin dodges the question as she reveals she’s been knitting a jumper for her son.
