Kevin Federline Accuses Britney Spears of Abusing Their Sons in Explosive Memoir
Kevin Federline is making shocking allegations against ex-wife Britney Spears in his new memoir, You Thought You Knew.
In the book, Federline claims that the pop icon verbally mistreated their sons — Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19 — on numerous occasions and even once punched Preston in the face.
He also alleges that when Preston was around 10 or 11 years old, the singer forced him to bathe with her. “It was clear he was uncomfortable, to put it mildly, and I had to step in and make it stop,” Federline writes.
The former backup dancer details several alleged incidents involving Spears and their children. According to him, she repeatedly fed the boys shellfish despite their allergies, ignored Jayden’s medical issues, and “overly babied” him, keeping him in diapers long after he was potty-trained. Federline also claims Spears would frequently wake Jayden in the middle of the night and bring him into her room, leaving Preston alone.
“The imbalance in her attention towards them was beyond frustrating — it was harmful,” Federline writes.
One particularly disturbing allegation involves Spears allegedly showing up at Federline’s home unannounced wearing revealing clothing, carrying a single diaper for Jayden — who hadn’t worn one in more than a year. Federline claims she undressed him and put the diaper on without saying a word.
He says he became increasingly concerned about the boys’ visits with their mother, citing incidents involving her then-boyfriend Jason Trawick, clashes with her father, and other erratic behavior. Federline even alleges that their hair was bleached to the scalp during one visit, leaving chemical burns that forced him to shave their heads.
As the boys grew older, Federline claims Preston and Jayden stopped wanting to visit Spears and began recording her alleged outbursts. He recounts one incident in which she screamed at Preston for refusing to wear a specific shirt for an Instagram photo.
Things reportedly reached a breaking point after the family moved to Hawaii. According to Federline, Preston and Spears had an argument over the phone during which she told her son she wished he and the rest of the family were dead.
“How could a mother say that to her son?” Federline writes. “Preston, having dealt with her vitriol for years, took it better than I did. He understood her anger and instability, but it didn’t make it any less painful. Trauma like that left scars, ones I fear they’ll carry for the rest of their lives.”
Spears’ team has pushed back against the claims. A spokesperson told Page Six, “He and others are profiting off her. Sadly, it comes after child support has ended with Kevin. All she cares about are her kids … and their well-being during this sensationalism.”
Spears herself also addressed the memoir on X, calling the allegations “white lies” and accusing Federline of “constant gaslighting.”
“Why is HE SO ANGRY … and what’s scary is he’s convincing,” she wrote. “It literally blows my mind the moments he stops before he cries — are you f–king serious.”
The allegations come as Spears continues to rebuild her life and career after years under conservatorship. Neither Preston nor Jayden has publicly commented on their father’s claims.
