Brazilian actor Felipe Selau, best known for his role in the teen soap Malhação, has been found dead at the age of 31 in his São Paulo apartment.
His sister, professional footballer Priscila Back Selau, revealed that the star had shown worrying behavior in the days leading up to his death. Felipe had suddenly stopped going to work and wasn’t responding to calls or messages. Friends eventually entered his apartment with a locksmith and found him in a drugged state, barely able to stay awake.

Although he seemed to recover briefly, the same situation happened again over the weekend. When no one could reach him for two days, firefighters and police were called. He was discovered lifeless behind his apartment door. Authorities found antidepressants inside the home, and an autopsy will determine the official cause of death.
Felipe rose to fame playing Paulo Tiago in Malhação in 2014. He was also a finalist on MasterChef Brasil in 2019 and won Best Supporting Actor at the Paris Shorts Films Awards in 2023 for his role in Pandemonium. More recently, he had been working as an executive producer for Chilli Beans and sharing his life with more than 11,000 Instagram followers.
