Brittany Mahomes took a not-so-subtle jab at Detroit Lions’ player Terrion Arnold after he trolled her husband, Patrick Mahomes, ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ Sunday Night Football game.

Arnold, who plays cornerback for the Lions, lit a fire in Brittany, 30, after he posted a photoshopped image of his head coach Dan Campbell sneaking up on a laughing Patrick, 30, ahead of kickoff on Sunday, October 12.

The meme originally featured WWE’s AJ Styles prematurely celebrating a WrestleMania face-off against The Undertaker, hinting that Styles was unaware of the trouble that was coming his way. In Arnold’s version, Patrick — quarterback for the Chiefs — is the unsuspecting victim of the Lions, alluding to the Lions’ plan to beat the Chiefs and wipe a smile off of Patrick’s face.

The jabs weren’t seemingly unaffective, as the Chiefs ended up being victorious on Sunday, beating the Lions 30-17. Brittany made sure to remind Arnold of the final score almost immediately.

Brittany posted a screenshot of Arnold’s meme via her Instagram Story on Sunday, according to the Daily Mail, where she tagged the NFL player. The jab was seemingly meant to show Arnold that Patrick actually did get the last laugh.

Brittany later shared an Instagram Story video of her husband running for a touchdown on Sunday and spinning the ball in the end zone to celebrate. “The ball spin ,” she captioned the clip.

She also reposted the Chiefs’ Instagram post on Tuesday, October 14, which celebrated Patrick becoming the “fastest-ever” quarterback to get 300 passing touchdowns in his career.

Brittany has been her husband’s No. 1 fan since high school when they began dating. The couple tied the knot in March 2022, one year after they welcomed their eldest child, daughter Sterling, 4, in February 2021.

The pair have since welcomed two more children, son Bronze, 2, and daughter Golden, 9 months.

“Every year is different with my babies,” Brittany wrote via Instagram in August ahead of the 2025-2026 NFL season. “I get so excited taking them to the first game and seeing how much more they understand and enjoy watching their dad play! This year is gonna be a good one.”

Ahead of Sunday’s game, Brittany was spotted kissing her husband on the sidelines as she often does to wish him well before kickoff. She wore a tailored white shirt, denim jeans and carried a red handbag for the occasion.

While Brittany is one of the more vocal WAGS of the Chief’s players, she wasn’t the only one who caught fans’ attention on Sunday. Taylor Swift, who got engaged to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce in August, was also in attendance at Arrowhead Stadium.

Swift, 35, wore a custom black GANNI league oversized mini dress when she toasted Kelce’s victory with friends at a cocktail bar after the game.

“My best friends ,” Samantha Corum — who is married to Kelce’s cousin Tanner Corum — wrote via Instagram at the time, showing her and Swift sipping on cocktails post-game.

Kelce, 35, for his part, seemingly gave his fiancée a nod with his plaid pregame shirt after Swift was seen wearing plaid days prior in New York City.
