President Trump’s border czar Tom Homan warned New Yorkers will see increased federal immigration enforcement ahead of Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani taking office.Tom Homan, wearing a suit and green tie, speaks to reporters while holding a coffee cup.

Homan, during an interview on Fox News Tuesday morning, also said he plans to hold Mayor Eric Adams’ administration accountable for its commitment to re-open ICE’s office on Rikers Island.Federal agents dragging a man away in a courthouse hallway.

“I plan on being in New York City in the near future. We’re gonna do operations in New York City. – we’re already there now, the teams are there now,” he said.Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani speaking at a press conference.

“But we will increase the enforcement presence in New York City,” Homan added. “Again, because they’re a sanctuary city and there are public safety threats hitting the streets every day.”
