Victoria Kafka Jones, the 34-year-old daughter of Oscar-winning actor Tommy Lee Jones, has died after being found unresponsive at a San Francisco hotel, according to multiple reports. Her sudden passing has shocked both the entertainment world and those who knew her privately.

Authorities responded to the Fairmont San Francisco in the early hours of Thursday morning, where Victoria was discovered on the 14th floor. Bystanders attempted CPR before paramedics arrived and continued life-saving efforts, but she was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

TMZ reports that a witness told first responders Victoria had allegedly been using cocaine before her death. Law enforcement sources told the outlet that when responders arrived, a bluish discoloration was visible on her lips and fingernails — physical signs sometimes associated with overdose. Officials have not yet determined the official cause of death, and the investigation remains ongoing. Police stated there were no signs of suicide, foul play, or drug paraphernalia found at the location.Tommy Lee Jones (R) with his wife Dawn Laurel-Jones (L) and his daughter Victoria Jones (C) at the premiere of "Just Getting Started".

Victoria had reportedly been at the hotel with a small group of friends celebrating the New Year shortly before her death.

Later on Friday, Tommy Lee Jones and his family broke their silence with a brief statement expressing gratitude for the support they have received:

“We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you.”

The message was signed, “The Family of Victoria Kafka Jones.”

A representative for the Fairmont Hotel also expressed condolences, saying the staff was “deeply saddened” by the incident and is cooperating fully with authorities as part of the ongoing investigation.

Born in 1991 to Tommy Lee Jones and photographer Kimberlea Cloughley, Victoria appeared in front of the camera as a child actor before stepping away from the public eye in adulthood. She is survived by her parents and her older brother, Austin.

In recent years, Victoria had struggled with a series of legal issues, including arrests connected to alleged domestic incidents and substance-related charges. She had pleaded not guilty and was scheduled to appear in court again this month. Friends say she had been navigating personal challenges while remaining closely connected to family.

As of now, the exact cause and manner of death will be determined by the medical examiner. Authorities emphasize that the investigation is active, and conclusions have not yet been finalized.

Victoria’s passing marks a heartbreaking loss for her family, who are now grieving privately while the circumstances surrounding her death continue to be reviewed.
