Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith have officially called off their divorce trial concerning custody arrangements for their 5-year-old daughter, Juno.
Earlier this week, just a day before the trial was set to begin, Turner-Smith’s legal team filed court documents requesting the case be removed from the court calendar, according to Us Weekly.
The 39-year-old actress confirmed that she and her ex-husband, 47, had agreed to settle the matter privately. “Turner-Smith and Jackson are in the process of negotiating a custody judgment,” her lawyer stated.
“The parties will return to the private judge they hired to resolve any remaining impasses in the proposed custody judgment.”
Back in June, Jackson filed an emergency order seeking to modify custody, claiming Turner-Smith had changed Juno’s school without his consent. He also voiced concerns that his ex-wife was trying to “create a scenario where Juno travels with her rather than attending a traditional school.”
The actor asked the court to ensure their daughter remains enrolled at her current school for the next academic year and to make it mandatory for both parents to agree on any decisions regarding her education.
