In tonight’s episode of Coronation Street, it’s confession time for Sarah as her guilt boils over in Theo’s murder case
Meanwhile, Cassie reclaims the power after threats from Tyrone’s long-lost father Ross.
Read on for six big moments to watch out for…
1. Lisa urges Kit to back off
Kit’s suspicions grow when he witnesses Gary and Maria arguing in the street. He’s quick to speak to Lisa, feeling eager to make sure that the police keep pursuing Gary as the main suspect in Theo’s murder case.
Lisa doesn’t appreciate the intervention, though, and reminds Kit that he’s supposed to be working on other investigations. She warns him to leave her to it, but will he ever listen?
2. Maria’s outburst leaves Sarah feeling guilty
Maria turns to Sarah as an unlikely confidante, admitting that her marriage to Gary is falling apart. As Maria points out that she doesn’t deserve to be treated so badly by Gary, her heartfelt words leave Sarah feeling terrible.
As Sarah wrestles with her guilty conscience – aware of just how much trouble she’s causing with the Theo cover-up – things get even worse when she returns home to the flat and Kit proposes to her!
3. Kit’s left devastated by Sarah’s confession
Frozen on the spot, Sarah finds herself unable to say “yes” to Kit as it would mean living a lie for the rest of her life. She finally comes clean with her partner about her guilt in Theo’s murder case and how she relied on Gary for help with the cover-up.
Kit is appalled by the revelations, but his pride gets in the way when he’s most concerned about her decision to call Gary for help rather than him! Is there any way back for Kit and Sarah as a couple?
4. Cassie confesses after advice from Bernie
At the café, Bernie notices that Cassie seems to have the weight of the world on her shoulders. Cassie explains that somebody is blackmailing her, so Bernie urges her to take the wind out of their sails by exposing any secrets herself.
Realising this is the best way to remove Ross’s leverage over her, Cassie admits to Steve that she drunkenly made a pass at Ross when they crossed paths in the hotel bar.
5. Betsy and Dylan plan for the future
Betsy and Dylan face petty tensions in their relationship, but the root cause is clear – they’re both anxious about being parted from each other when Betsy moves to London.
Can the young couple work things out?
6. Joseph braces himself for trouble
Joseph admits to Dylan that he’s worried about his school report, which calls him out for lack of concentration and being late with his homework.
After handing it over to Gemma and Chesney at the café, Joseph hurries off to avoid their reaction!
