For Chiefs Kingdom, there’s one question that matters more than any other this offseason:

Will Patrick Mahomes be fully healthy when the 2026 season begins?

After suffering a devastating ACL and LCL injury late last season, Mahomes has attacked his rehab with the same determination that has defined his career. Every update from Kansas City has been encouraging, and now another optimistic prediction is turning heads.

Sports Illustrated’s Conor Orr recently released his 100 Bold Predictions for the 2026 NFL season, and one prediction immediately caught the attention of Chiefs fans:

“Patrick Mahomes will be fine — and start all 17 games.”

It may sound simple, but for Kansas City, it could mean everything.

Mahomes has already returned to OTA activities and continues to hit important recovery milestones. While there is still work to do before Week 1, all signs suggest the franchise quarterback is progressing exactly as hoped.

If Mahomes is available for all 17 games, the Chiefs instantly become one of the most dangerous teams in the AFC once again.

A healthy Mahomes means:

✅ Greater consistency throughout the season
✅ A realistic path back to the playoffs
✅ Another legitimate Super Bowl chase

Of course, nothing is guaranteed. Recovering from a major knee injury is never easy, and Chiefs fans won’t truly relax until they see No. 15 take the field on opening day.

But after a disappointing 2025 campaign, the possibility of seeing Mahomes back under center for an entire season is exactly the kind of news Chiefs Kingdom wants to hear.
