It is another reported setback for the Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan Markle has been humiliated once again following reports she has been dropped by her talent agency. TV host Dan Wootton made the bombshell claim on his podcast, Dan Wootton Outspoken, declaring: “She’s been dumped again! Meghan Markle has been dumped again by her agent, who just so happens to be the most powerful agent in all of Hollywood.”
Meghan signed her deal with super agent Ari Emanuel’s WME to make her a “power player” in Hollywood, sources told Page Six in 2023. Emanuel’s agency also represents industry giants including Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel and Oprah Winfrey. Wootton continued: “There have been rumours about this for months, but Meghan and Archwell and her little liars in Montecito have been pushing back and saying they’re still involved.”
The presenter explained that Alison Boshoff, Editor-at-Large at the Daily Mail, did a deep dive into how far the Sussexes have fallen, and dropped the revelation about Emanuel.
In the article, Boshoff claims that Meghan and Harry parted ways with WME “a long time ago”, revealing that an insider at the talent agency said the Duchess of Sussex fell out with them over a “lack of cover over the holidays” around Thanksgiving in 2023.
Wootton commented: “What that means is that on Thanksgiving, on one of America’s most sacred family days, Meghan Markle threw one hell of a hissy fit. She demanded that the WME staff were there for her. Her demands are ludicrous and her diva behaviour is so off the scale because WME is the agency of Blake Lively!
“This is a company that is used to working with the biggest divas in the world, but when it came to Meghan Markle, they said, ‘Enough! We are not having this. Our staff deserve a Thanksgiving. You’re gone, sweetheart.'”
Another Hollywood insider told Boshoff: “There is no way that Variety piece (about her fall out with Netflix) would have run if WME were still looking after Meghan.”
After reading that a source close to the Sussexes demurred that WWE are still involved with Meghan, Wootton fumed: “Lies, lies and more lies. She’s not telling the truth. There’s no contract. There’s no deal. They’re not involved.”
It was reported that everyone involved decided to not comment on the split, with both WME and Sussex sources denying it in February 2025.
Issuing a brutal verdict on Harry and Meghan’s life since they stepped down as working royals, Wootton added: “You’ve lost the biggest names in Hollywood. You’ve lost Spotify. You’ve lost Netflix and Ted Sarandos. You’ve lost WME and Ari Emanuel.”
Meghan Markle’s representatives have been contacted for comment.
