CORONATION STREET BL0ODBATH: NEW SUSPECT UNMASKED IN GRUESOME MUR*DER CASE

A number of Coronation Street residents reach the end of their tether next week, with both Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) and Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) struggling to cope.

With Will still struggling in the aftermath of his grooming and sexual abuse at the hands of Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon), words from Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) and his dad, Ben (Aaron McCusker) push him to extreme measures. Can the fractured family come together to save Will? Or will a lurking Megan oversee his ultimate destruction?

Daniel suffers in the wake of his trolling at the hands of ‘Truthteller’, and when the attacks turn from digital to physical, he seeks his dad, Ken Barlow (William Roache). When it looks as though things have settled, he arranges a family gathering, but is his ordeal really over?

Newcomer Idris (Junade Khan) immediately makes his presence felt with Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), when he turns up on the street. As she quickly becomes besotted with him, will she heed Alya Nazir’s (Sair Khan) warnings?

Elsewhere, Danielle Silverton (Natalie Anderson) re-emerges with a fury directed at Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce), Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) and Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) go head-to-head over a job and Fiz Dobbs (Jennie McAlpine) worries about Hope’s (Isabella Flanagan) growing crush.

Shall we get into it?

After a desperately unwell Sam tells him he’s evil and wishes him dead and he overhears his dad, Ben, worrying that Megan has ruined his life, Will climbs some scaffolding, chugging from a bottle of vodka. When Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) implores Maggie (Pauline McLynn) to help, she follows him up, urging him to take control of the situation. As the Driscolls panic below, they miss Megan, watching from a distance.

When Daniel learns that Bertie (Rufus Morgan-Smith) is being bullied as a result of ‘Truthteller’, he vows to have his say. He later finds Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) in the flat, reading Daniel’s reply and demands to know what she’s doing.

Elsewhere, Todd makes it clear he’s finished with George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley), Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) and Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) while moving in with Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), and Leanne gives Betsy and Dylan trial shifts at Speed Daal, leading to them competing over the one vacancy.

As a panicked young lad, Damo, runs amok on the street, a sharp newcomer, Idris, steps in when a group of rowdy business men drop curry on Brody Michaelis’ (Ryan Mulvey) trainers at Speed Daal. Welcomed by Alya and recognised by Leanne as Kal’s cousin, Idris reveals he’s bought a property agency in Manchester. While Adam Barlow’s (Sam Robertson) hackles are raised, Brody asks for a job, while later, Idris drags Damo into the ginnel.

When Danielle puts down a hefty payment for Theo Silverton’s (James Cartwright) funeral flowers, Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) speculates that she’s in line for a bulky inheritance, leaving George convinced that constitutes a motive for murder.

Meanwhile, Will discovers Megan’s phone number on a note in his pocket, Sarah calls Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) to let him know Todd will be staying for a few days and Daniel tells Jodie that the police will be investigating the trolling.

As Daniel suffers amid his trolling ordeal, Jodie points out that ‘Truthteller’ has gone silent, leading to further trolls picking up the cause. As he heads to see Ken, Daniel is attacked by two young lads who throw paint at him while filming. Discovering Idris laughing at the footage in Speed Daal, Daniel sees red.

As Idris sends Brody on his first job, he celebrates Eid with Adam and Alya, who invites him to come and stay with them for a while.

Also, Todd receives life-changing news, Fiz worries over Hope’s growing attraction to Will and Jodie is burned when Roy Cropper (David Neilson) tells her that, since Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) has returned to work, she’s out of a job.

Danielle makes her presence known on the street when she arrives to accuse Todd of killing Theo for the life insurance pay out, leading Mary to accuse her right back. As she leaves, Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) emerges and announces that he recognises her from the night that Theo was killed.

When Ken suggests Daniel get away to straighten himself out, he’s horrified to learn that Daniel merely hid in his flat on his last ‘holiday’ and insists that Bertie deserves better.

Concurrently, when Idris sees a demonstration of Leanne’s toughness, he asks her on a date, leading to him trying to kiss her and Hope finally manages to get a laugh out of Will, leaving Fiz concerned.

Daniel tells Jodie that ‘Truthteller’ has vanished from the internet, with all of their vitriolic posts deleted and gathers his family for a celebration.

A series of flashbacks reveal a dark secret, with a web of lies and deceit exposed for one resident.

Elsewhere, Ryan tells Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) of his suspicions over Danielle, leading to her arrest and, when Alya learns of their kiss, she warns Leanne to steer clear of Idris, who’s already moved on to flirting with Tracy.
