Brooklyn Beckham has reportedly taken drastic steps to distance himself from his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, as the family’s long-running feud shows no signs of easing.
According to a report published by the Daily Mail on Thursday, the 26-year-old chef and his famous parents exchanged letters last summer — but only through their respective legal teams.
Sources claim Brooklyn made it clear that he did not want his parents contacting him directly or speaking publicly about him on social media. Instead, he allegedly insisted that any communication be handled exclusively through his lawyers.
The request reportedly came after Brooklyn was deeply offended by briefings about his wife, actress Nicola Peltz, which suggested that she was “controlling” him and that he was effectively being held “hostage” in the marriage.
“David was told to speak to them via [law firm] Schillings,” a source told the outlet. “That was the only way for them to communicate.”
Representatives for both Brooklyn and David Beckham did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The reported estrangement comes amid ongoing tension within the Beckham family. Last month, Brooklyn’s younger brother Cruz, 20, claimed that Brooklyn had blocked both him and their parents on Instagram, pushing back against rumors that David, 50, and Victoria, 51, were responsible.
“NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son,” Cruz wrote on social media.
“Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked … as did I.”
Fueling speculation further, Brooklyn was noticeably absent from David’s Instagram roundup of his 2025 year, which featured the rest of his children — Cruz, Romeo, 23, and Harper, 14. However, on the same day, the former soccer star shared a throwback photo of himself with Brooklyn on his Instagram Story.
David accompanied the post with a heartfelt message expressing gratitude for his family and love for all four of his children.
“You are my life,” he wrote in part. “I love you all. Love, Daddy.”
Victoria Beckham later re-shared her husband’s Instagram Story featuring Brooklyn.
Despite these public gestures, sources suggest reconciliation may not be on the horizon. Last October, an insider told Us Weekly that Brooklyn had “no interest” in repairing his relationship with the Beckham family following their apparent falling-out the previous year.
The source added that Brooklyn is currently focused on building a “peaceful, drama-free life” with his wife and is prioritizing his marriage above family tensions for the time being.
