Coronation Street spoilers follow for an episode is due to air tonight on ITV at 8:30pm, but is currently available to watch online on ITVX
Theo isn’t winning any popularity contests in Weatherfield. Now that a severely injured Todd has reported him to the police for assault, everybody knows that the sinister scaffolder has been abusing his partner for months. The raging narcissist might be the least well liked resident of Coronation Street right now – and that’s really saying something. He’s even banned from the Rovers, and let’s face it, they’ll let anyone in.
There’s never been a worse time to be persona non grata on Corrie. With Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) and Carla Connor’s (Alison King) wedding right around the corner, five of the biggest villains in Weatherfield could meet a grisly fate in a shocking Whodunnit… and one of the potential victims is Theo. But who has a reason to kill him? Form an orderly queue.
Suspect number one is Todd. After months of Theo’s emotional gaslighting, routine humiliations and terrifying bouts of violence, it’s perfectly understandable that he would finally snap.
George was the one who witnessed the sickening way Theo spoke to Todd first hand, and tried to rescue him from his toxic relationship. That’s a first class motive. As for opportunity, who know more about death than the local undertaker?

Then of course, there’s Gary Windass (Mikey North), Theo’s ex-best mate and boss. After learning the truth about the abuse from his partner Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) – whose close friendship with Todd also makes her a suspect – Gary drove Theo to the police station himself and threatened to ‘come after him’.
That’s no idle threat coming from Gary, who’s already responsible for two deaths on the Cobbles. Will Theo make three?

Let’s not forget one of the few people possibly more hated than Theo, Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard). On Sunday, the Worst Webster tried to provoke the angriest scaffolder in Manchester into assaulting him, in a sneaky plan to put the abuser behind bars. Theo saw right through it. He warned Carl ‘I’ll come for you when it’s dark. You might not even see me coming. And when I hit you, I’ll make it count. And you won’t get up again’.

Sounds like a murder threat to me. But believe it or not, conniving Carl is not the target in Theo’s right now…
… Which brings us neatly to our next potential killer.
After all, Carl’s not trying to get an abuser off the streets out of the goodness of his heart. He promised Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby), who suspects Theo of killing Billy Mayhew, that he would put the monster behind bars for good… in return for the life insurance payout she got from her adoptive father’s death.

Unfortunately, Theo rumbled Carl’s plan, and in tonight’s episode of Coronation Street, he confronts Summer in a nail-biting showdown.
When Theo comes into the shop, a terrified Summer quickly points out that he’s being recorded on CCTV. But Theo is undeterred as he casually broses the shop, unnerving Summer further. She insists that Todd is happy and does not miss him at all. On classing narcissist form, Theo tries to paint Todd as the manipulator and insists he is not the bad guy.

This makes Summer lose it as she brands Theo sick, pushing him and directly accuses him of leaving Billy to die in the minibus crash. She orders him out.
But before Theo leaves, he finally confesses to his part in Billy’s death by taunting Summer. ‘You should have seen Billy’s face when he was pleading for his life. ‘Our Father, who art in Heaven! Pathetic, really.’
As the blood drains from Summer’s face to have her worst fears confirmed, Theo makes a chilling threat on her life.

‘Todd is mine’. He snarls. ‘Don’t make me bury you too.’
Is Summer in danger? And will this frightening escalation from Theo cause her to defend herself… with lethal consequences?
