Coronation Street fans think they know Megan Walsh’s real connection to the cobbles in paternity twist
Some fans believe they have rumbled a shock paternity twist for the villain in the ITV soap
Coronation Street fans think they have worked out Megan Walsh’s real connection to Weatherfield, as they believe they have rumbled a shock paternity twist.
As viewers will recall, Megan arrived and ended up staying on the cobbles after Will Driscoll complained to his family about having to leave his athletics training behind after his dad, Ben Driscoll, surprised partner Eva Price by moving from Hull to Weatherfield to run the Rovers Return.
But there was a shock when fans became aware that it wasn’t his training that Will didn’t want to leave, as it was revealed he was in a secret relationship with Megan, with the pair going on to sleep together just as he turned 16, which resulted in Megan later claiming to be pregnant with the teen’s baby.
It was then in March that the truth appeared to have been exposed as Sam Blakeman, who had sussed out what was going on and was being threatened by Megan, who at this point was pregnant, into silence, ended up in hospital and eventually confessed what he knew to stepmother Leanne Battersby and her sister, Eva Price, who is Will’s stepmum.
Despite the truth coming out, Megan was seen getting away with her crimes as she and Will stuck to their story that Will had an out-of-control crush that Megan tried to put a stop to, and there was no evidence that could prove the relationship between the pair, with Megan claiming to have suffered a miscarriage when she actually had an abortion.
But this week, Corrie fans have now seen that Will has finally told the police the truth about his and Megan’s relationship, with DS Lisa Connor-Swain since charging her after questioning. It has since been confirmed that Megan has pleaded not guilty to what she has been accused of, and therefore, the case will go to trial.
While the grooming storyline continues to unfold, Corrie fans think they have figured out Megan’s other connection to Weatherfield, which involves Tim Metcalfe and his groomer, Trisha Marlow.
@gemmataylor352023 asked: “Is Megan gonna turn out to be Tim’s daughter?” @curriejackie said: “Tim is Megan’s father from his own grooming Trish!” @janmac1958 replied: “I said this last night on here but noone believe & said it cant be mathematical.” @TavernHoyden added: “#corrie Trisha does have a look of Megan about her….”
It hasn’t been until the bombshell dropped that Will has been being groomed by his coach and teacher, Megan, that Tim has been able to really see what he also went through as a child. This week, having helped Will,Tim attempted to contact Trisha to have a conversation about what happened all those years ago, but struggled to get hold of her. In the end, Tim headed to Freschos, where Trisha works, and waited for her arrival.
He approached her and asked for a conversation, and as they sat in his cab, Trisha thought Tim was making a move on her. But he continued: “I need to say this and you need to hear me. The thing is, I’ve only just started to realise this, but what you did to me was wrong.”
Trisha tried to turn it on to Tim, before he replied: “I was 14. I was a child. You should’ve been with somebody your own age, not sleeping with a kid,” he added. “It wasn’t right. It should never have happened.” It was then that Trisha realised Tim was accusing her of abusing him, before she said she wouldn’t take any responsibility for his wrongdoings after they were together before hurrying off to work.
