After helping the Kansas City Chiefs win back-to-back Super Bowls, Isiah Pacheco entered the 2026 offseason searching for a new opportunity. While Chiefs fans will always appreciate his relentless running style and championship mindset, it became clear that Kansas City’s offense was moving in a different direction.
Now with the Detroit Lions, Pacheco has already embraced his new role.
Rather than focusing on individual statistics, the former Chiefs running back says he’s ready to contribute in any way possible and help the team win.
“Everyone has a role. Players, coaches, staff… it takes all of us to succeed,” Pacheco recently told reporters.
His championship experience could become one of Detroit’s biggest advantages. Beyond sharing the backfield with Jahmyr Gibbs, Pacheco is expected to bring leadership, toughness, and the winning culture he developed in Kansas City.
Chiefs Kingdom will always remember No. 10 for the energy, passion, and unforgettable moments he gave the franchise.
