Jeremy Clarkson has left Clarkson’s Farm viewers in tears after revealing he is battling an aggressive form of cancer in one of the show’s most emotional episodes to date.
The 66-year-old broadcaster shared the devastating news during the final episodes of season five, which were released on Wednesday.
In scenes that shocked fans, Mr Clarkson sat down with farm manager Kaleb Cooper and land agent Charlie Ireland to discuss plans for the harvest before delivering the bombshell announcement.
“I’ve got cancer,” he simply told them.

A visibly stunned Mr Cooper immediately replied: “No, you haven’t. Where?”
Mr Clarkson explained that doctors had discovered an aggressive form of prostate cancer following a medical examination and biopsy.
The diagnosis came after what had already been a difficult period for the television presenter, who suffered a major heart scare during filming and was later told he was days away from a potentially fatal heart attack.
Speaking on the programme, the TV host revealed he had hoped to complete the harvest before beginning treatment, but admitted the timing made that impossible.
“I’m praying we could get the harvest done and then I could go and get some treatment,” he said.
“But it’s going to be slap bang in the middle.”
The father-of-three later underwent surgery and told viewers that 10 per cent of his prostate had been removed.
“The 10 per cent where the cancer is,” he explained.
In another emotional scene, Mr Clarkson appeared from a hospital bed after complications during treatment.
“Some of the treatment has gone awry,” he said. “Let’s say I’m going to be here for a little while.”
The episode struck a chord with viewers, many of whom took to social media to share their emotional reactions.
One fan wrote on Reddit: “Brutal to watch. I sobbed multiple times. Absolutely brutal. Gut punch after gut punch.”
Another commented: “Yeah ouch, it’s good to know filming for season six is well underway and he’s still kicking but God d**m, I’m going to miss this a*****e when he stops being around. Hopefully not for a long while yet. This sucks, man…”
Others offered messages of support for the presenter and his family.
One viewer echoed: “Prayers for his healing and for his family, friends, and his community. My heart breaks over this news.”
Another simply added: “Very sad news.”
The cancer diagnosis is the latest in a string of health battles Mr Clarkson has faced in recent years.
In October 2024, he revealed he had undergone an emergency heart procedure after doctors discovered one of his major arteries was completely blocked while another was rapidly closing.
The former Top Gear presenter has also spoken publicly about severe pneumonia, hearing loss, and his efforts to improve his health through weight-loss treatment and lifestyle changes.
Despite the challenges, the former Top Gear host has remained characteristically upbeat.
Reflecting on his difficult year, he told viewers: “So we started the year and I had coronary heart disease, and ended it with me with cancer.”
