Rachel Reeves will announce measures aimed at easing the cost of living for Britons in a Commons statement on Thursday. The Chancellor is expected to announce plans to cut tariffs on some food products in order to mitigate the impact of the Iran war.
She will also announce the introduction of free bus travel for children during August.
It comes after Labour scrapped plans for a fuel duty hike due to come into force from September.
