Coronation Street fans distracted as Todd Grimshaw returns to Number 11 after abuse hell
After Theo Silverton’s horror attack, Todd was released from the hospital and headed back to his former home, No.11 Coronation Street
Last week’s run of the ITV soap saw a number of heartbreaking scenes as following a violent attack at the hands of his partner, a bloodied and bruised Todd was seen bravely giving a statement to the police about the domestic violence has has been suffering for months.
While Todd was giving his statement, back on the street, Gary Windass cornered Theo and threatened him with a wrench, forcing him into the van before making their way to the police station where Kit was seen arresting him for ABH and false imprisonment, and Lisa was later seen questioning the abuser.
After trying to push the blame onto Todd, asking if they were being treated the same, Theo was held for the night in custody by Lisa. Meanwhile, Todd was being treated in the hospital as it was revealed he had suffered a number of injuries, included a lacerated spleen and internal bleeding.
Without enough evidence to keep him locked up, Theo was released and upon finding out the news, Todd heartbreakingly admitted: “”I knew he’d get away with it. He always does.” While George Shuttlworth tried to reassure him it was over, Todd said: “It won’t stop. He won’t stop until he’s broken me completely.”
During Friday’s (April 17) episode, Todd was released from the hospital and headed back to his former home, No.11 Coronation Street, where he was being fussed over by George, Christina Boyd and Mary Taylor. It was in the episode that Todd decided to give his mum, who left the Street last year for a new life in Thailand a call to let her know what has been happening.
When he returned from making the call, Todd revealed: “She’s livid. She wants to get a flight, tear him limb from limb. Trust me, she would only make things worse.”

But it was during the scenes back at No.11 that Corrie fans were distracted as after Eileen’s exit, it appears George’s new flame, Christina, has added her own touch to the place.
