Coronation Street‘s Maggie Driscoll is accused of assaulting Megan Walsh next week, after the PE teacher reports her to the police for the crime. But was Maggie really angry enough to attack a pregnant woman? She pays Megan a visit at her new flat – but little does she know, Will is already there. As Maggie warns Megan off her grandson, their confrontation escalates…
With Ben Driscoll backing off from his son Will in the hope that he has enough sense to stay away from Megan, fearsome Maggie decides to take matters into her own hands.
“Maggie is a woman of action – she feels the law moves at a very slow pace, and has rules that she does not have to play by,” begins Pauline McLynn, who plays Maggie.“We’ll see a splendidly devious side of Maggie. No one knows exactly where Megan has gone to hide, and Maggie finds out in a very underhanded way, like a mini dark web for herself.
“She goes to confront her because nothing else is working. By accident or otherwise, as is the way of Maggie’s life, there is a physical fight. She’s not above getting her hands dirty.”
It’s not long before Lisa Swain arrives at the pub to deliver the shocking news that Megan has filed a police report against Maggie for assault – which Maggie outright denies.
