Explicit email exchanges between the man set to lead the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and Jeffrey Epstein’s convicted accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell have been revealed in a newly released batch of Epstein-related court documents.
Casey Wasserman, CEO of Wasserman Media Group and chairman of the LA 2028 Olympic organizing committee, exchanged a series of flirtatious and sexually suggestive emails with Maxwell in 2003 — while he was married to his first wife, Laura Ziffren.
The messages date back to just two years into Wasserman’s marriage. In one April 1, 2003 email, Wasserman wrote to Maxwell, “Where are you, I miss you,” before asking to arrange a massage ahead of an upcoming trip to New York.
Maxwell responded with a provocative reply, hinting at intimate contact and suggesting she could “practice” techniques on him to see whether they worked. At the time, she noted she was writing from Brazil.
The exchange continued for days, with the two trading increasingly personal and flirtatious messages. In one email discussing Los Angeles’ June weather, Maxwell joked about fog being thick enough to allow someone to walk naked on the beach unnoticed.
In another message, Maxwell referenced “JE” — believed to be Jeffrey Epstein — saying he had pressured her to find a rental property in Malibu. She also asked Wasserman if he wanted anything from Paris, where she was traveling. Wasserman replied: “The only thing that I want from Paris is you.”
The emails also show the pair discussing meals, travel plans, and future meetups. All were included in documents released Friday by the U.S. Department of Justice as part of ongoing disclosures related to Epstein’s network.
Maxwell was convicted in 2021 and sentenced to 20 years in prison for grooming and trafficking underage girls for Epstein.
A spokesperson for Wasserman did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Wasserman, a major Democratic donor and one of the most powerful figures in sports and entertainment, has previously faced allegations of serial infidelity. A 2024 Daily Mail report described him as having a pattern of affairs with women who worked for him, allegedly promising to leave his wife before abruptly ending relationships.
One former partner told the outlet she was “shocked and devastated” by how quickly Wasserman cut ties, saying he underestimated the long-term emotional damage he caused.
Among the reported affairs was a long-term relationship with his current girlfriend, Jenny Chandler, a former flight attendant on his private Gulfstream jet. Chandler allegedly informed Ziffren of the affair in a 2021 email, claiming the relationship had lasted seven years.
Wasserman and Ziffren separated in 2021, ending their 20-year marriage. They share two children.
Despite the controversy, Wasserman was later selected to lead LA Rises, a private-sector initiative to help rebuild Los Angeles following last year’s devastating wildfires. California Governor Gavin Newsom publicly appeared alongside Wasserman when announcing the initiative, drawing renewed scrutiny in light of the revelations.
