Patrick and Brittany Mahomes celebrate their first Christmas as a family of five — as the superstar QB recovers from injury

This Christmas is more special than ever for the Mahomes household — it’s the first time Patrick and Brittany are celebrating the holiday as a family of five.

Brittany Mahomes shared a heart-warming series of photos on Instagram, capturing moments of the couple with their three adorable kids: Sterling Skye (5), Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III (4), and baby Golden Raye (11 months), all posing with Santa Claus.

The post opened with a touching black-and-white family portrait, the entire crew smiling brightly outdoors. The next images looked like professional photos of the kids with Santa — Bronze and Golden sat on a couch while Santa stood behind them making a playful “shh” gesture.

The newest family member, however, wasn’t quite as thrilled about the man in red. Little Golden burst into tears while Santa held her — a moment equal parts sweet and hilarious, in true youngest-child fashion.

Brittany also shared more candid family moments from Christmas morning: the three kids in matching green pajamas decorated with gingerbread men and candy canes, Golden posing in a tiny Santa hat, and the children playing with their brand-new toys. The family gathered again for a cozy group photo in their living room, dressed in matching green-and-blue checkered PJs. In the final picture, Patrick could be seen wearing a knee brace — a reminder that he is still recovering from injury, though his smile was as bright as ever.

Brittany captioned the photos simply: “Merry Christmas 🎄❤️.” Sometimes that really says it all.

Before baby Golden arrived, the couple had already been making plenty of festive memories with their two older children. In early December 2024, after the Kansas City Chiefs’ narrow win over the Los Angeles Chargers, Patrick took the family ice-skating. Brittany posted photos of Sterling riding a red toddler buggy on the rink under twinkling holiday lights, and a sweet bundled-up family picture from the outing.

In a recent podcast appearance, Brittany opened up about life as a mom of three and admitted that she and the Super Bowl champion are pressing pause on more babies — at least for now.

“We’re done for a while,” she said. “Three is enough for me — for the moment!”

Even while recovering, Patrick is soaking up every bit of holiday joy with his family — and this first Christmas as a “family of five” is one the Mahomes crew will never forget.
