Donald Trump says he’d “love” to run for a THIRD term as US president — shocking fans and critics alike — but shoots down the idea of using a vice-presidential loophole to bypass the Constitution, calling it “too cute” and “wouldn’t be right.”
Speaking from Air Force One during his Asia trip, Trump also praised JD Vance and Marco Rubio as “unstoppable” potential successors. And he claims he’s got the best poll numbers ever.
Legally, the 22nd Amendment currently blocks a third term, and changing it would take a near-impossible approval from Congress and 38 states.
Still, Trump loyalist Steve Bannon insists there’s a “plan” to get him back in the White House — leaving everyone guessing. Meanwhile, Democrats like Gavin Newsom are already hinting at their own 2028 bids.
