Justin Bieber courtside at LA’s hottest underground sports scene
Justin Bieber has become a regular at THE LEAGUE, Los Angeles’ secret playground where basketball, futsal, fashion, music and celebrity culture collide.
Page Six recently gained access to the invite-only venue, getting a glimpse of how Bieber spends his nights out with family, friends and fellow sports fans.
His Instagram makes it clear: Bieber is everywhere—courtside in jerseys, partying with pals, and enjoying the exclusive events. One prominent figure at the heart of THE LEAGUE is commissioner and co-founder Ron Abaekobe, who has built the space as a hub for “CEOs, VIPs, athletes and people from all walks of life” to come together.
“I designed THE LEAGUE as a destination where a structural engineer could play on the same futsal team as Justin Bieber and Vic Mensa,” Abaekobe said. “It’s about the mix of people as much as the wins on the scoreboard.”
Bieber doesn’t just attend the games—he runs his own basketball and futsal divisions under Team SKYLRK, named after his fashion brand launched in July 2025. Recently, he helped Team SKYLRK beat Team Ah & Co., 6-1, in futsal and scored 15 points in a basketball match versus Team LRG—just hours after a two-hour session with NBA shooting coach Chris Matthews.
“Justin Bieber understands it now!” Matthews posted on Instagram. “He’s a living legend who knows how to master a craft. @lilbieber keep doing your thing.”
After the games, the pop star often stays to party. Page Six witnessed Bieber dancing, mingling, hyping the DJ and enjoying the evening with fellow attendees. Whether on court or off, the singer clearly knows how to combine sport, style and celebrity energy.
